The Postgraduate Council is a student representative body made up of postgrads across UTAS. Our purpose is to support and represent postgraduate students at UTAS, and to improve your experience as a postgraduate student.
We represent the interests of postgrads at UTAS in decision making processes and on a state and national level. We have representatives on a number of University Committees including, Board of Graduate Research, Research College Board, Teaching and Learning Committee and more.
Through events such as the SEiR Conference and programs like our health and wellbeing initiative providing lunchtime exercise classes the council aims to support the needs of postgrad students. We also act as a source of information for postgrads, providing resources relevant to study and issues affecting you. We support a range of social programs, and hosts social events for postgrads.
