Hello!

On behalf of all the Tasmania University Union (TUU) student reps across the state, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all returning UTAS students.  Also to the 'freshies', you are about to embark on a very exciting few years of your lives. One that you will always look back to with a smile!!

Whether you are new or old, the TUU is always here for you.The TUU (which is one of the oldest student unions in the country) will continue to do what it does best, which is to represent and be a strong voice for the students.

We run a range of services on the campus for you, ranging from food and drinks to a shop to the post office. We also run events, forums, rallies and much more. From the concerts to the barrels to the yummy food festivals, there will always be something for everyone to a part of. Other than social events, the TUU will run awareness campaigns on issues affecting students as well.

If you ever feel things at Uni are not going according to plan, the TUU has an advocacy programme that will help you through the tough times. The TUU has 3 advocates across the state - Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast.

In summary, the TUU will be here for you in times of joy and grief and we will get through it as one. So here is to an exciting 2012 as we excite your Uni Life!
