I am experiencing problems enrolling. What do I do?
If you have tried to enrol electronically without success - telephone the Student Centre on 1300 361 928 or email: student.centre@utas.edu.au
I am not coping with my studies. What should I do?
Don't think you have to withdraw - there are people here to help you. Talk to your Tutor or Lecturer, or ask at your Faculty Office. They can put you in touch with the right people. Student Advisors are available throughout all campuses. Counsellors are also available and these provide a free and confidential service. Or come and see a TUU Student Advocate. If we cannot help resolve your concern, we can refer you to someone who can.
I feel uncomfortable on campus - I am being harassed or discriminated against.
The University of Tasmania has Harassment and Discrimination Policy - for further information go to: http://www.human-resources.utas.edu.au/strategic-hr-management/equity-and-diversity/harassment--and--discrimination-policy-information
You will see that Contact Officers are found on all campuses, and can discuss your concerns in a non-judgemental, confidential manner.
I have no money and cannot get the bus home.
Did you know that the Contact Centres on Sandy Bay and Newnham can provide a temporary $10.00 loan to all students?
