Your TUU is here to help you
The Helping Hand Scheme was established by #yourTUU State Council to help cover the immediate grocery costs of students experience hardship throughout the spread of COVID-19. If you have lost your job recently, if your family is going through hardship or if you are struggling to make ends meet, you’ll be able to receive $25 to go towards your groceries. If you are currently in a difficult situation, you’ll be able to fill out a short application form. From there we’ll work out a way to call you – so that we can hear your story.
Once the Helping Hand committee has confirmed that you’ve been impacted by this pandemic, we’ll endeavour to have the $25 voucher to you within a few business days – though please be patient. Our dedicated students will be checking your applications between our classes. We know this may only help a little bit for many of you. But by telling us your story, we’ll be able to direct you to other ways that you can get more financial relief – and help the university understand the plight of students at this time.
This scheme is only accessibly to students residing in Australia.
You can apply for a voucher via the application form below.
