What’s Happening in June?

Whats been happening at Cradle Coast?

This week at Cradle coast we are proud to launch the “Mt Nelson Award”. Unlike most awards in Tertiary Education this award recognises not only academic achievement but also recognition to an individual’s potential contribution to their chosen profession and a commitment to our community. Talking to students I have heard of some fantastic achievements and enthusiasm so I am sure we have some “Awesome” candidates at Cradle Coast, plus a lazy $3k to help you out with your journey.

Nominations for SRC’s positions will close Thursday 7th April. Our vacant positions are, Education Officer and Aboriginal Liaison Officer. There is also a vacancy on our Post Grad SRC which hasn’t been filled for a while, we need representation here at Cradle Coast so hop to it guys, let’s be active and have our say!

Oxfam are in the process of “affiliating” with TUU on campus and will have a presence here, they have a membership and are keen for further members, let me know if you are interested and I can pass your details on.

I also believe that our first society is also in the making……..Go Cradle Coast!!!!!

Earth Day, we will be marking this day here on the coast on Wednesday 20th “April. We will be having a “pop up op shop” run by St Vinnies, definitely rock up for a bargain, I have asked for good quality/funky clothing selling for $2. Of course we will have a snag on the bbq and some fun!

That’s it for this week guys, remember always an open door policy here at TUU Cradle Coast.

Cheers

Kerrie
