Mt Nelson Award COVID-19 Update
Due to ongoing disruptions from COVID-19 the Mt Nelson Trustees have made the difficult decision to suspend the Mt Nelson Award for 2020. We look forward to reinstating the award in 2021.

Congratulations to Emily Hunt, 2019 Mount Nelson Award recipient.
The Tasmania University Union Mount Nelson Award is unique in that it is an award that has been established by students, for students. Its aim is to promote and develop excellence in the Higher education sector.
Unlike most awards in Tertiary Education that tend to recognise only academic achievement, the Mount Nelson Award is given in recognition of an individual’s potential to make a significant contribution to their chosen profession and a commitment to our community.
As part of their application, each candidate is required to present a written profile of no more than 500 words about themselves, including community, social and academic activities and achievements. The onus is on the candidate to provide whatever information and evidence they believe will support their application. The Award is open to all students studying full-time at northern campuses of the University of Tasmania.
