National Campus Writing Competition

2019 sees the launch of the brand new, National Campus Writing Competition, UniVerse. In its first iteration, the competition is one category only, “NON-FICTION”and we invite current students from eligible campuses* to submit.

The competition is designed to offer tertiary students a platform to have their work seen by a panel of industry professionals and to have the opportunity to win industry-relevant prizes and experiences. To achieve this, TAG have partnered with Crikey Media.

KEY DATES
Submissions are Open between 11th June and 29th August
People’s Choice Voting occurs between 9th September and 22nd September
Winner will be announced on 23rd September

THEME: ‘The Student Experience’
No two experiences are the same when completing your tertiary studies, but someone can always relate – capture the essence of the student experience in a non-fiction piece.

PRIZES
Submissions are judged by a panel of industry professionals, who select a shortlist, and ultimately the category winner. The shortlisted finalists will have the opportunity to be exhibited at tertiary campuses across Australia in the following calendar year.

Non-Fiction winner receives
– a one-week paid Internship with Crikey Media in either Sydney or Melbourne
– publication of the winning piece, via Crikey Media if appropriate
– $500 worth of cash and vouchers

People’s Choice winner receives
– $500 worth of cash and vouchers
